1. Our town's Little League had their Opening Day Ceremonies this past Saturday, at a brand new sports park. Plus, it was the Opening Day Celebration for the Sports Park.

I think everyone in our town was there...it was SO crowded! It's an AWESOME place, so we're so excited about it because it's down the street from our house.
For Little League opening day, the teams parade around the field...only half our team showed up, but it was fun still anyway...you will see my husband on the right--he's the coach...and the dad on the left is the manager. Gavin is sandwiched between two of his greatest friends...can you spot which one he is?
Gavin and his best friend in the parade...with Daddy bringing up the end!
Gavin LOVES baseball so much...more than I ever imagined he would. It has been such a great thing for him, so we are so grateful that he can play!
2. Speaking of grateful....I made a new print, and it's for sale in my Etsy Shop....it speaks for itself...nothing is better than having a heart full of contentment, even when difficult circumstances surround you. God is good. So, good.
"It is Well With My Soul" is an amazing hymn...and I was stoked to see that within the first 10 minutes of me pinning it on Pinterest, it got 22 repins and 7 likes! Apparently, it's pretty cute! : )
3. If you didn't read my post before the weekend...I am finally getting a port-a-cath! You can see that post here. It was an awesome answer to a long-time prayer by many...
4. We've been studying Ephesians at church and this verse was used in a cross-reference..and I love it. So I made a print of this verse from Phillipians 4:8:

It is also for sale in my Etsy Shop.
It's my children's memory verse and something I strive to remember when I am down. Filling my heart and mind with lovely thoughts...true, noble, right, praiseworthy...things that I write down on a Joy Dare One Thousand Gift List...shifts my perspective from anxiety and depression to gratitude, joy, and peace. I want this verse above etched onto my heart so that I will never forget it.
5. And speaking of lovely...my daughter has turned into a little mommy for two little girls that have big brothers who play baseball with Gavin. My heart flutters when I see her run around with them, making them smile, making their hearts happy while she in turn does the same for herself just by doing it.
She has matured SO much in the last 6 months...it's like she grew up seemingly overnight.
While part of me is sad that she is turning 10 in a few weeks...another part of me is happy. The older we get, the closer we get...the more I get to enjoy being her mommy, and eventually her friend.
