Miscellany Monday--Thankful

thanks_edited-1

1.  Chelsea's surgery went as well as a surgery could...praise God!

hospital trio_edited-1

The first 2 days were rough for her, and she didn't do anything but lay in this spot on the couch eating ice cream to her hearts content (what a treat that is!)

276

And this is her this morning---praise God!  Not all the way better, but just about there.

147

We are so glad that after 21 months of trying to make this surgery happen, it's finally over--the narcotics, the antibiotics, the pain, the sleepless nights, the wasted time spent on the phone with dentists and insurance companies is all gone---shall I say it again?

Praise God!

2.  We made Thankful Trees--they are mixed media collages and we LOVE them so much.

125

Can you guess whose is whose?  I made one, and so I think it's pretty obvious after you decide which is mine. : )

3.  We have more than 500 Prevacid solutabs coming our way thanks to sweet blog readers, Facebook friends, and our good Lord who never fails to meet our NEEDS.

4.  I don't think I mentioned how much we love our dog lately.  He is such an awesome dog and we're so blessed to call him ours!

5.  And because a November post is not complete with what little evidence of Fall we have in Southern California, here are, once again, my neighbor's beautiful trees.
274

I am so thankful for them...they are simply stunning....the only way I could love them more is if they were on our lawn ; )

the magnificence of God's handywork is all around me....what an amazing gift!

So glad Chelsea's doing well. And I love the pictures of the trees! Having just moved to Texas and missing Ohio's beautiful fall makes me love these pictures even more!

girl, i always admire your bright spirit in the midst of your illness and children's illnesses. you are speaking volumes about thankfulness. way more than anyone with an easy life could. you are shining brightly for Jesus. i'm glad Chelsea is on the upside of recovery! and those thankful trees are gorgeous just like the pictures of the real ones.
