I haven't done a One Thousand Gift List post in awhile and so this post is way overdue...
(do you love my new gift button?)
This past month has been a mixture of
tremendous blessing and challenging hard times
Whenever that happens, it's so easy for me to get stuck on what's hard even though I am so grateful for how He blesses us in the midst of the hard times.
So whenever this happens, I make a list of all the ways the good Lord has blessed us so that my heart may focus on those good things instead of only on what is bad.
For example, last week my husband's car broke down and we both cried because we had no idea how we were going to pay for it to get fixed...and we were already stressed out about how we were going to buy the mostly Christian curriculum for homeschooling.
So we prayed.
Then, the next morning I got an email from Rainbow Resource asking me to call them.
I called them and they proceeded to tell me that they have a "First Fruits Sale" every June, and with the money they earn that month, they give back to homeschooling families in need.
An anonymous person gave them our name and email address and as it turns out...
106. Rainbow Resource chose my family to be one of the families that they help.
They gave us a $400 credit so that I could buy all the curriculum we need for the school year for free!
Not only did I get everything I needed, I got to get some things we wanted too....
Even the tax and shipping was on them....I can't wait to get it in the mail!!!
Amazing.

107. Then they told me that they were giving us a check for a pretty generous amount of money and it turns out that it was exactly how much we needed to fix Tim's car!!!!!!
Incredible.

108. My daughter's creative nature
109. How goofy my kids are
110. and how much they love each other
111. This hutch--thanks for all the compliments on it!
112. Knowing that any day now, the mail truck will deliver everything we need to start the school year!

113. Getting to take pictures of my husband surfing
114. Secretly having hurt feelings over an issue with a friend and having her come to me to resolve it even though I only told the Lord about it
115. Finding this website.....a virtual heaven for us visually inspired people.

116. Finding and printing this in poster size for our "classroom"......knowing that while my kids need it, I NEED IT MORE
117. Finding out that the Lord loves me and continues to bless me and my family in ways we never could have imagined even when my attitude isn't what it should be.

118. And being able to find humility in it all?

Priceless!
